* The UWAY Online application web page is activated only during the application period.     According to the signing-up page above, international students can choose the language option ＇English＇ on the top of the right side, and sign up. Applicants can write anything, including their names, in either English or Korean. Also, applicants who do not have alien registration number can sign up without it. (There is an option for those who don't have the number)   Once you have created accounts and searched on the search engine for ＇GS TESOL,＇ you will find this page below.  As shown in the red box at the top of the page, applicants must follow the steps.   Steps: 1. 답변 Two or three outstanding first semester students are granted scholarships corresponding to their admission scores. Scholarships are also awarded to registered students who achieve outstanding academic performance every semester. Additionally, department representatives are given scholarships. Besides them, the full tuition fees are waived for a graduate assistant who serves in an assistantship. There are no specific scholarships for international students. However, international students are granted the same opportunity for scholarships as domestic students.

- Type of Program

A. Graduate School of HUFS (GSH)

The Graduate School of HUFS (GSH) offers a full-time degree program from Monday to Friday during the day time. 

B. TESOL Professional Education Center (TPEC)

TPEC provides both full-time and part-time certificate programs during the daytime, evening, and Saturdays. The duration of TPEC program is six months.

C. Graduate School of TESOL (GS TESOL)

The GS TESOL is a graduate school specializing in TESOL that offers students a part-time degree program in the evening from Monday to Friday. Students are required to complete the coursework of two years or four semesters.

- Curriculum

A. GSH

The curriculum of GSH is oriented towards academic purpose. Every student who wishes to successfully graduate from GSH needs to write a thesis. Due to the theory-based curriculum, courses are taught mostly by Korean professors. Classes are offered in both English and Korean.

B. TPEC

 TPEC specializes in TESOL certificates, and boasts one of the most qualified and renowned TESOL certificate programs in Korea. It mainly focuses on the practical aspect of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

C. GS TESOL

The GS TESOL is one of the most unique TESOL program providers in Korea. It offers not only academic theory but instruction in practical skills that can be immediately implemented by professional teachers. There are two departments in the GS TESOL: English Language Teaching (ELT) and English Language Teaching Materials & Technology (ELT MT). All classes are offered only in English.
